Bowling For Buffoons

You may have heard that loud-mouthed one-term Congress creep & attention-whore Allen West, realizing he'll never again be elected to any office higher than dog-catcher, will be spewing his disturbed Jesus-loving ignorance for PJMedia's latest scam, something called "Next Generation." Because the yout' want a 51-yr. old disgraced Army officer telling them crap on the Internet.
Fuck off, gramps.
See if you can follow the tortured reasoning (for lack of a better word) here:
You may be wondering why am I taking on this mission.

Earlier this month, my family and I traveled to Phoenix, Ariz., to attend the 2013 BCS Fiesta Bowl. It was truly great to be in such a festive atmosphere, and even see some old friends.

However, as I watched the opening kickoff, I got that deep feeling in the pit of my stomach that it would be a long evening for the K-State Wildcat Nation. So my mind started to drift and analyze what was before me.

I looked over at my two daughters, dressed in K-State purple, and thought about my first college bowl game. I considered the cost today to attend a BCS bowl game, and thought about how the college-bowl experience will be something that will be harder for future generations to afford.

Is our dollar losing such value that ticket prices may become untenable for our next generation? I remember as a kid working hard doing errands and chores for neighbors, like washing cars and cutting grass, to earn the money to go see a game.

This is just one example of traditional American experiences we must stand up for in order to preserve the American dream for future generations.
What a sad jag-off. And an excellent illustration of just how pig-ignorant he is. It's the alleged weakness of the dollar that makes bowl games (Absolutely the most important part of the American Dream.) so expensive? Just how many bowl games did he attend w/ his washing & mowing money?

What does "...the dollar is losing so much value..." even mean? Compared to a basket of foreign currencies? Loss of purchasing power over time due to inflation? In a global Purchasing Power Parity scale?

In any measure, the dollar is "losing" less "value" than it has in the past. Inflation is low - actually too low - it would help economic growth if it was higher, which the Fed even acknowledged by raising their target. The "strength" of the dollar (a perverse term to use to describe it's relative cost measured in other currencies) is actually currently way too high, costing the economy billions in annual exports.

I'll just keep up my eternal jihad to make these right-wing idiots clarify their stupid right-wing cliches, and nobody will do so anyway...

In my corner of the whirled the students get to go to the games for free. Well free as in prolly covered by their fees. Sure, bowl games aren't covered, but I imagine if your team gets into a bowl you're going to be more worried about how to buy a plane ticket than the game ticket.

We were going to mention the cost of a plane ticket, hotels & motels that jack up their prices for bowl game attendees, & so on, but A.W. makes us feel dirty & we had to leave.

Dollar & its value is the sort of thing the low-info under-educated voter thinks is, like, really sophisticated high finance, dude, 'cause they heard some knob mention it on the telly.
