Not to disagree with the premise, but is L.A. north or south of the Mason-Dixon line?(As if I should talk, living where I do.)
Geo Editor:Technically south of, but Cali. was a Union State. What happens to AZ & NM when the CSA goes is one of the many questions this raises.
