Balancing Act

The Pope, from both sides of his mouth, invokes the phrase "natural law." (To the best of our knowledge, the only "law" of nature is "Kill or be killed, unless you can survive by hiding or fleeing.")

"Natural law," as the Pope & other disturbed individuals (Ambassador Alan Keyes comes to mind.) use it, is a lovely justification for just about anything religious fascists wish to impose.
In a letter addressed to the Catholic bishops of England and Wales, the pope praised Britain's "firm commitment to equality of opportunity for all".

However, he criticised UK legislation for creating "limitations on the freedom of religious communities to act in accordance with their beliefs".
His Imperial Fucking Majesty then went on to complain about anti-natural British laws preventing parents from stoning their rebellious spawn to death, "while these same laws allow the wearing of cotton/poly blends, & criminalize relationships between Catholic men & boys."
