Seeing What's Under One's Nose

From fadedjeans61 in YouTube comments:
This is John Clarke and Bryan Dawe who did this sort of skit at the end of every week on a local current affairs show. They would choose a story from that week and do a mock interview about it. The incident was real, the interview was not. Bryan is the interviewer, John is the "politician".
Faith. Makes you a sucker every time.

In all seriousness, besides the ridiculous answers, didn't the rapid-fire delivery & lack of any pause or hesitation in the answers (or questions) indicate anything to Andy? Isn't his insignificant other an actor? Shouldn't someone, somewhere, be able to figure this sort of thing out, or do the incredible research of reading the comments? (Granted, wading through YouTube Comments is a job of Herculean stable-cleaning proportions, but you're getting paid for this, & we aren't, Sulllivan!!!!one12! Jesus.)

John Clarke- NZ's greatest treasure. Sadly had to leave to make a living.
I wonder if Sullivan had checked around a little and found some other Clarke/Dawes interviews, by, er googling, what he would have made of that? Senator Collins is pretending to be a whole lot of other people!!??!!

Geography Sucks Editor Analogizes:

You poor bastards. Never thought of it quite this way, but NZ's cultural relationship to Oz is not unlike Canada's to the grotesque giant to its south (us) isn't it?

Gawddam cultural hegemonists!

Trolling Editor Notes:

Sullivan has explained himself, though w/o mentioning the email we sent him. We'll let him slide anyway.

Yes, I'm aware this is a comedy sketch. You only have to read the comments on the YouTube page. But if you reveal the spoof in advance, you can spoil the joke a little and so I did my best to leave it open-ended. It's funnier if you think for a minute it could be real, but of course you realize it isn't a little way through the skit.

Ozzytralier is our friends. Many of them are alright people and they have a open and funny sense of humour.
In a way we are lucky since anyone who is very obnoxious soon buggers off from here to there. There are ,e.g. Mr Clarke, some good folks who have also buggered off but they had to make a living and it really couldn't be done here. Their politics is a vastly entertaining feral cage fight and they have some genuinely weird people in it.
If their cricket team lost occasionally and they weren't so bloody good at sports in general they would be perfect neighbours.

Disappointed Editor Announces:

We were hoping to cause hostilities between your two great English-speaking nations, but did not take into account the significant difference between the us/them here & you all: That chunk of the South Pacific between you & your neighbor.

Fences & vast oceans a good neighbor make.
