Personal Appearance Round-Up

Tonight this reporter will be attending a screening (as we pretensiosos in "Hollywood" type) of what its trailer describes as both "THE MOST AWAITED EVENT IN THE HISTORY OF ENTERTAINMENT" & "THE MOST DISTINGUISHED MOTION PICTURE OF ALL TIME!"
It's just gotta be good. "Distinguished Motion Pictures" are the best! (Especially when they're about "Hollywood.") See you there.

Surely it'd be a nature doco about squirrels and such?

Telebision & Pond Film Editor Responds:

Certainly THE WORLD'S LONGEST MOVIE, the 1954 "A Star Is Born."

176 minutes of squirrels, indeed. Plus restored footage (they found the soundtrack, but the visuals were stills & long shots of doubles). Whew!!

The original cut ran 182 mins. or something, then the Bros. decided to cut it down half-way through its run.

Now we're almost interested in seeing the '30s, non-musical, original.

And we had to go around the corner to smoke during the welcome intermission.
