The NYT wraps up the yr. from their perspective. Here's something chilling, the
Top 10 Viewed Features of 2008 on NYTimes.com (Between Tuesday, January 1, 2008 - Wednesday, December 31, 2008) We will assume that they meant "10 most viewed features," but English is out, & we'll be stuck w/ the phrase "Top Ten" for the rest of eternity. Thanks, Letterman. 1. Politics: Lose the BlackBerry? What's so chilling? That this is the kind of crap that the people who search out The NYT want to read. Morons making dance-offs & the like number one in the telebision hit parade is one thing, but even accounting for pretentious a-holes & the like, one has a bit of an expectation that the typical ... Oh, never fucking mind. This nation, this species, is devolving faster that we can perceive. We mean, the number one political story is B. O. having to give up his Blackberry?
