Campus Eviction

Wingnuts worried that today's college & university campuses are hotbeds of liberal giveaways & so-called entitlements should be cheered by this, from The Daily Bruin (Yes, we've gone totally Westside.):
In Old Westbury, N.Y., student Denisha Dennis started the semester on a sour note. She received a letter from the administration informing her that because of her GPA, she was being removed from the dorms and getting kicked off her meal plan. Now, according to an article in The New York Times, Dennis makes a five-hour round-trip commute from her parents’ home in Mount Vernon, N.Y. to the State University of New York, since non-university housing is rare in the area.
Cheese & Crackers. One can only wonder if Denisha D. rec'd. a rebate for the room & board she didn't receive. As the Bruin editorial goes on to say, this is hardly going to help anyone get their GPA back up.

Well, what was her GPA? Zero? How poor can it be before eviction proceedings proceed? And this at A SUNY university, NY's version of Cal State.

It was a 2.0 or below, though not by much. You can click on the Daily Bruin link for the fuller story.
